The Green Laboratory is a clinical research team dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders through a better understanding of cognition, social cognition, and motivation. In addition, the Green Lab has a program of research to understand and improve community integration for homeless Veterans.

The Green Lab is part of the UCLA Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences, the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA, and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) VISN 22 Mental Illness Research Education and Clinical Center (MIRECC). The laboratory includes faculty members and postdoctoral fellows with expertise in cognitive neuroscience, psychiatric rehabilitation, and clinical trials of novel treatments. Funding for the research projects in the Green Lab come from the National Institute of Mental Health, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and private foundations.

The Green Lab fully supports a diverse and inclusive environment for our team members and research participants, including people from different racial and ethnic backgrounds, genders, sexual identities, and other personal identities.

We have two postdoctoral fellowship positions available beginning September 2024. One is for clinical psychologists (click here for information) and one is for data scientists (click here for information). United States citizenship is required for both.
