Hanna Boughanem

Hanna graduated from UCLA in 2026 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Society. She began volunteering at the Green Lab as an undergraduate in 2024. She primarily assisted with neuropsychological testing and completed two independent projects examining social functioning and cognitive deficits in schizophrenia, which she presented at the 2025 and 2026 UCLA Undergraduate Research Week. As a Staff Research Associate, Hanna assists with fMRI studies, clinical trials, neuropsychological testing, and social network interviews. She greatly enjoys working with the Veteran population and contributing to research focused on improving their daily functioning. She is especially passionate about expanding access to mental health care and rehabilitative services for underserved populations. Hanna plans to pursue an MD and a career in academic medicine.
